Patterns and pathology

Paranoia means overemphasized pattern recognition w negative overtones/fear, pronoia means pattern recognition with euphoric/happy overtones.  but both are considered either pathological or at the very least altered states in our culture. 

this says a lot about what the dominant ideology of randomness. 
the idea that connections are pathological (also exemplified in dominant neoliberal idea of cults referring to any communitarian group--as if having a commons is sinister)

what does this mean for ecology , biology?
what does it mean for comorbidities of me/cfs? mcas , pots, etc.

what does it mean for not recognizing obvious seeming enviromental factors and geographic clusters in this illness (me/cfs)  and others?
